The 10th French Reasearch Days on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Motor Neurone Diseases (MND) took place on October 9 and 10, 2024 at the ICM, in Paris.
Organized since 2015 and over 2 days in partnership with ARSLA (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Research Association), each year the Research Days bring together participants from diverse backgrounds, from institutional researchers to clinician researchers.
The objectives of the JR are to:
- Promote exchanges between research teams and ALS/MND Centers
- Provide an annual update on research progress and current collaborative projects
- Contribute to the emergence of new collaborative research projects
- Enhance recognition of the motor neurone disease at national and European level, and better identify researchers and clinician-researchers in the field.
This year, 170 international participants gathered for 2 days of exchanges, during which 18 oral communications and 19 posters were presented.
Each year, awards are presented for the best presentations. This year's prizes for best oral presentations went to Coline Jost-Mousseau and Loan Vaillant-Beuchot, and for best posters to Youssef Issa and Marina Hernán Godoy, a doctoral student in the ALS-FTD team.
